Welcome to this site, all about what must be one of the most beautiful and interesting towns in England.

What makes St Ives so unique? From a centre that has more of a village feel about it, there's a lot to occupy you. If you're eager to spend, the high ratio of independent shops will be of interest. There's also an amazing variety of places to eat, from great pub food and takeaways to a wide range of restaurants. If you just want to sightsee, as well as the river and water meadow St Ives has more than 150 listed buildings and plenty of history to go with them. And there's loads of great walks from and around St Ives.

It's also the perfect place to visit if you want to relax and de-stress. There are so many lovely spots to amble around, or sit and relax. How about...

St Ives bridge and chapel : One of the oldest in the country, and one of only four with a chapel in the middle.

The Waits & The Quay : Both locations give the town a seaside feel and are perfect spots to rest and watch the river glide by. While you're at it, sample the delicious Italian ice cream sold nearby.

St Ives' markets : They might no longer be the biggest in England, but they're still well worth a slow wander around on Mondays and Fridays. There are also Bank Holiday markets that take up even more of the town centre, and farmers markets the first and third Saturdays of each month.

Norris Museum : Always something interesting to view. Don't miss sitting for a few minutes in it's peaceful garden, especially in May when the wisteria is in full bloom.

Ingle Holt Island What other town can boast a beautiful nature reserve so close to its centre? Sit in the sun on one of the benches overlooking the river and Hemingford Meadow and let the world slip by.

Hemingford Meadow This ancient water meadow is perfect for an amble on a sunny day. About three miles in circumference and an hour to walk around.
